Description

This Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is moist, rich, and loaded with melty chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or a sweet dessert treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top.

  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

 

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
