Description

This Banana Nut Bread is a moist, tender loaf packed with sweet bananas and crunchy walnuts, all made effortlessly in a bread maker!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium bananas)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix just until combined.

  • Fold in the chopped walnuts.

  • Pour the batter into the bread maker pan, making sure the paddle is in place.

  • Set your bread maker to the “Quick Bread” or “Cake” setting.

  • Start the machine and bake according to your bread maker’s instructions (usually about 1 hour).

  • Once done, remove the pan carefully and let the bread cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Make sure to use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.

  • You can substitute pecans for walnuts if desired.

  • Always check your bread maker’s manual for the correct settings and any specific instructions.
